Indy Pass adds 50+ Partners, Pass Sales Resume

Grand County, CO. (October 10, 2023) – The Indy Pass announced today that 54 new partners have signed on for the ’23/24 season, including some big resorts in Europe, Japan, and Western Canada, and dozens of independent Alpine and Nordic resorts across North America.

With a vast network of trails linked by more than 80 modern lifts, the Skiwelt is one of Austria’s largest and most popular interconnected circuits. Adventure on the Autobahn

If you spend time in the Adirondacks, then you know the weather can be unforgiving at times. On occasion, Mother Nature can be so cruel that she’ll alter the landscape. When strong storms blow into the high peaks and drop multiple inches of rain in a short period of time, strips of land can be washed away off the mountains, leaving a “scar” of exposed anorthosite. These rockslides are a fun friction climb in the summer and an even better ski in the winter if conditions cooperate.

One of the more recent slides formed in the Adirondacks is known as the “Autobahn Slide” created after an intense rainfall in October of 2019.

Safety Kayaking the Hudson River Swims

Early this summer, Ripitz reached out to me about the Newburgh to Beacon Swim. He was swimming to help raise money for The River Pool in Beacon. He asked if I’d be interested in volunteering as a kayak safety escort. I thought it was a cool idea so, once I’d checked that my schedule was open. “Where do I sign up?” Rip directed me to their website.

Before the day of the swim the organizers had a meeting which I joined via Zoom. They explained things thoroughly. Our job was to keep an eye on the swimmers, provide something for them to grab onto if they needed to rest and call in a jet ski or motorboat if somebody needed to come out of the water.
