Jessica Pezak Accepts Position at Alyeska Resort

Alyeska ResortJessica Pezak, Marketing Manager at Hunter Mountain, has accepted a new position as Director of Marketing at Alyeska Resort in Girdwood Alaska. Located in the Chugach Mountains 40 miles south of Anchorage, the four season resort features heli-skiing and catskiing, lift-serviced alpine skiing, nordic skiing, snowshoeing and dog-sledding as well as a variety of summer activities.

A New Jersey native, Jessica graduated in Hunter from Hunter-Tannersville Central High school in 2002.  She started building websites back when 56k dialup modems were the fastest internet connection setup. Her social media background began when Boston University students began beta-testing Facebook, which was in development at Harvard while she was attending BU.

The Ski Season in Photos #6

Finally, in mid-January, we got some significant measurable snow in the mountains of New York.  At HQ in North River, it was barely a foot, and didn’t really get the trees going, but it was snow. Natural snow always improves conditions.

Finally, in mid-January, we got some significant measurable snow in the mountains of New York.  At HQ in North River, it was barely a foot, and didn’t really get the trees going, but it was snow. Natural snow always improves conditions.

Reports and photos from Greek Peak were very encouraging. Laszlo Vajtay of Plattekill called the improvement in surfaces “amazing.”

Like many of us, ml242 is another one who loves to ski.  And like most of us, he knows that getting his significant other jazzed about skiing is crucial for maximizing his ski days.

This season he was on a mission. He did all kinds of creative things this season share his love for our sport with his friend Amy.  One of the most notable: a romantic Valentine’s ski overnight at the Roxbury Hotel.  But, as we all know, some things are under our control and other things aren’t. Conditions this season were challenging. Early season was especially difficult, but on Christmas day Hunter delivered.
