While there are hills, Cascade’s trails are on much easier terrain than adjoining Mount van Hoevenberg. All trails are rated Easy or More Difficult. Cascade’s trails connect with Mount van Hoevenberg at a junction with van Ho’s Three Trails loop. They offer an interconnect pass allowing one to ski both trail systems. In comparison to van Ho, Cascade trails are narrower and have an old school feel. It’s a bit more leisurely ski experience than van Ho, not as aerobically or technically demanding. Cascade also connects with the Jackrabbit trail, a backcountry trail running from Saranac Lake to Keene.
