In January 2022, the Adirondack Mountain Club purchased Cascade Ski Center from longtime owners the Jubin family.
The club continues to offer nordic skiing and snowshoeing over their 20 km of trails. All trails are marked as easy or intermediate, although there are some challenging downhills on the outermost part of the trail system. The Jackrabbit backcountry ski trail, running from Keene to Paul Smiths, passes through Cascade. Cascade Welcome Center abuts the biathlon side of Mount van Hoevenberg, and one can ski from Cascade to both van Ho’s Three Trails Loop and the Perimeter Loop.
Please note that Cascade and Mount van Hoevenberg no longer cross honor one another’s trail passes. Trails are a bit narrow; one can skate here, but classic is probably the better technique.
