“The Rabbit Pond Trail was among the early ski trails created in the North Creek/North River area in the 1930’s and 1940’s. A circa 1940’s map entitled Precise Ski Data of North Creek, N.Y., A Stone’s Throw from Train to Tow” shows the intermediate Rabbit Pond Trail located at the “Village Slopes”. The trail and Rabbit Pond itself also appear on the 1958 USGS map of the area.”
