Data from the National Weather Service in Albany NY (ALY) is at the heart of our weather center. These forecasts, maps, watches and advisories provide information you can use to make educated guesses about weather and conditions in the mountains, in the eastern half of the state. This page is a portal to that data.
The Albany county warning area includes several of the big New York ski areas including, Gore, West Mountain, Hunter and Belleayre. Plattekill lies just outside this zone to the west. Vermont resorts include Magic and Mount Snow, while Jiminy Peak and Catamount are in the Berkshires. In addition many NY skiers travel through the county warning area, on their way to skiing points north, west, east and south.
We’ve added the NWS ALY point forecast map, radar, temperature and precipitation forecasts and the 24 reports for rain and snow. There are links to the all important ALY forecast discussion, plus webcams and ski reports from New York and Vermont.
