Old cheddar still worked. Heard a pop this morning making coffee. Up to 6 now after a couple weeks off.We’re tied. Still stuck on 5. Ain’t caught one in a couple weeks.
Might put in some fresher cheddar.

Then was walking over to the next door neighbor's with coffee in hand to discuss The Cuse
loss last night and saw a mouse scurry outside. They’re field mice and there’s lots of fields around. Back to work.

Back when we were renovating and there were lots of holes in our exterior walls, we had an ermine (AKA least weasel) pop into our house. No mice at that time. If you don't mind sharing your place with a weasel, this may be the way to go.

I thought I'd have decaying corpses when I returned from NJ, but no. Neither trap sprung. Wiping down the counters, no scat. I'm stuck at 5. Maybe that's not a bad thing.
