Most Underrated Ski Towns

I think every Taos Ski Week instructor I've had was shouting a fair amount by Day 2. Definitely by Day 3. ;)

The cues I remember the most are "chin UP", "plant" (as in pole), and some variation about looking ahead to plan where to go next. When I was getting better about planning which bump(s) I was headed to next, the goal was then to actually visualize the route that would get to the next bump or two. I and a couple of my ski buddies who did the Private Ski Week with me in Feb 2022 and Feb 2023 are visual learners.
solid advice. i visualize my first four turns in the bumps. happy to hit all of them. after that you hope to be in a rhythm or it's time to improvise. Plant those poles. drives me crazy watching people turn without a pole plant.

All the ice climbing I have done has been in the LP region.
A life is too short to ski bumps. Crank and bank baby.
funny, I equate bumps to mtb and vice versa - picking a line through technical terrain, hang on and go!

Not being an MTB person, but observing them when I'm running in the woods. Used to be, if there was an obstacle, riders would clean it. Now, they ride around them. A lot of singletrack has turned into double track in my part of the world.

Haha! Ice climbing is WAY more brutal than mogul skiing!

I know, it’s just my opinion but I’ve got a right to have one!

Beaver Utah. I was just there working this past week and its a special place. The ski area isn't all that but it doesn't look terrible either. The touring though just outside of the area looks awesome.
