Crud.
Dec 11 Update: Welp, that storm fizzled for southern Vermont with little to no real back-end snow. So it was primarily a little over an inch of r**n which degraded the natural snow base and some of the snowmaking from last week. The temperatures for this coming week are briefly cold but then warmer at the end of the week. It leaves the snowmaking team with not a lot of time to try and get us a mid-mtn way down for 12/16 and definitely not summit skiing, although that is where the coldest temps will be. Temps get cold enough at around 9pm tonight to fire up the system, but with marginal temps, there will be marginal production, so we will mostly go up high to grab thos colder temps to increae productivity duirng that short window. If we can make enough to open mid-mountain with Green Lift we will try for that with colder air on Wednesday night into Thursday. Otherwise we will push opening until the following weekend before Christmas. More to come. Think Cold!
