Magic Conditions

Three feet, three hours, three runs. Tough break for Magic, not their fault. Glad I left at noon and didn't bother waiting to see what happened, as they were not able to get power back up and running before close.

It has been a long time since I've been in a legit three feet of untracked fresh! But I probably would have had a better day overall if I gone elsewhere. But the two day total was enticing despite the crowds and risk of power issues (Magic was upfront with potential issues in their morning report).

Snow in New England is really bizarre. Only two inches where I live in central NH. But higher elevation in south western NH got as much as three feet (less than 60 miles as the crow flies).

Driving to Magic, really not much along the way. Even in VT, Springfield got very little, a bit more in Chester, then a gradual increase all the way up route 11 to Magic. No problem for folks in the valleys. But folks on higher elevation mountain roads got it bad.

You should've come over to Bromley, no crowds and they had 3 feet too. It was wild open to close.

Very similar thing in the Catskills. Even ten minutes from Plattekill, we didn't believe* we were going to find 30 inches of snow.

Yup.
Even for the bumps around Cuse.
Last Monday there was bare ground where folks have the big apple harvest party south of Cuse and when ya got to Lab it was snowy all over.
Seems it’s been like that most of the winter.
Lake effect has been generally absent except for a couple cold NE blows earlier. (around Buffalo & the St. Lawrence river valley).

Thank you for making Magic happen this last winter! Our operations team is busy getting Magic ready for the 23/24 ski season and Pfister Mountain Services will be here this summer finishing the Quad Lift project to expand uphill capacity while we maintain our attendance limits for day tickets. We are already 60% sold on season pass inventory for our Early Bird Sale price tier. The next pricing tier goes in effect June 17th with prices increasing up to $100 per pass. Buying passes in May also means securing our lowest 6-month, no interest, payment plan for an affordable lower monthly cost spreading payments out through November 15th!

The fun, laid-back, community vibe Magic is known for will be here this summer as well with our Black Line Tavern's new Alpen Deck providing great food, brews, views and live music, with lunch and dinner service beginning June 22nd (Thursdays-Sundays). Also, Disc Golf begins June 1; Saints & Liars is here for our annual West River Sports snow pile fundraising nordic ski day June 3rd; our first wedding is on June 17th; Independence fireworks on July 1 (with live band); and, a special concert featuring touring artist John R. Miller has just been announced for July 15th (tickets here). So we hope you'll join us here this summer and all winter long for good times on the road less traveled...

Lowest Pass Prices through 6/16.
Lowest Monthly Payment Plan cost through 5/31.

Our new sales platform now allows for Magic to provide you with a monthly payment plan option with low payments through November 15th! No interest, no fees! This helps our passholders extend pass payments equally over each month with lower monthly payments the earlier you buy--so buying in May means you have 6 months to spread a lower monthly payment, at no additional cost, while buying in June gives you just 5 months to spread the cost, and so on.
