Gore Mountain Conditions

Hear, hear! First time we got into the trees at Gore this year. Boreas, Chatiemac, and off of Backwoods (I guess that’s Batkeater?) Good base building snow today. If the storm delivers on Friday night the weekend should be great.

+1 Suds. Excellent day. Yes the woods were lovely!

I thought it might be ncp'ing but it made no sense since the skiing was not at all grabby.

My CRV is dark green (looks black most of the time). And it has a diecut on it:

And and I never park in the paid lot, even when it is free. It's just my thing, one of many.

Top picks were Tawana, Barkeater and Chatterbox. Chatterbox is awesome.

Dave and I busted it from first chair until maybe 2:30.

I'll see what I got for pics.

How is Scotty's. We have been looking for a good, quick diner of the Northway for years?
I am a big fan. Good breakfast, fast, at a good price. Excellent service.

Other people recommend some other place nearby, but I forget what it is called.

Chatterbox?

No doubt, Gore attracts skiers who love it.

Today I was talking to people on the lift, they were really having fun.

Objectively, is Gore really great, or do we just love it? Or is that the same thing?
Yes.

Gore was good today until the light ncp after 1 pm. Lies was the best I’ve skied it this year. Boreas and Barkeater were excellent. Reports were that Abenaki was the best but a patroller caught us as we were going in. No sign no visible rope but he still insisted it was closed. Rumor was good from the bypass but I didn’t do it. Woodchuck was the run of the day.
@Harvey did I park next to your brown CRV in the money lot today?

mm
Woodchuck! Old school Gore, has to be included in any Peak to Yurt run.
