Without the Pipeline, you can’t get there from here. Our fear is that with Backwoods complete, Gore will eventually abandon Upper Pipeline, and then a single top to bottom run will not be possible.
Yesterday we started at the natural high point, the top of Upper Steilhang (the manmade high point, where your skis touch snow exiting the High Peaks chair, is a couple of feet higher). US to Cloud, Tahawus, Peace Pipe, Pipeline over the bridge to PeacefulValley. If Wood Out is open, then anything on the Dark Side is in play, but then Pipeline is much more of a slog without a running start off of Tahawus and Peace Pipe.

Did you time it? @Duck did the whole thing in something crazy like 11 mins and something.

First time up at Gore all season today, and wouldn't be surprised if it was Gore's best day all season. Spent the morning down on BR and Ski Bowl, got lunch, then headed up top for the rest of the day. Lower elevation stuff did get a little wet and melty as temps climbed around noon, but then another burst of snow hit from around 2 onwards.

Also got to do Cirque for the first time in like 5 years maybe?

There’s a spot on Eagles Nest where it cuts off to a snowmobile path and some power lines , we saw a bunch of tracks going off this direction and against my better judgement decided to follow them. Half way down through deep relatively untracked snow we come across a teenager who lost his ski. Except his boot was still in the binding, he was trying to get out of the snow walking with just a sock. Took me a while get him to a good spot to get his boot back on and into his skis. He went down a few feet and then decided it was best to walk out of the ravine we were in. I’ve never seen someone lose a ski and a boot. I can’t imagine how cold his foot was. I hope he called it a day after that.

You're a good man @Dmoss.
