I'd argue that with a modest burger or cheeseburger -- especially ones you make at home on the grill -- you can actually taste the meat (animal or plant-based); however, with franchise sandwiches like the Big Mac, Whopper, or Club Burger, the experience is more about the combination of condiments, ergo my "delivery platform" comment.

You see, I think there is more to it. McDonald’s and BurgerKing may be low quality but Wendy’s is a definite step up and the newer outfits like 5 Guys and Smash Burger taste better for sure. I would guess they’re all equally bad for you but the sugar in the buns and condiments might be as bad as the fat in the burger.
I’d suggest doing a meat/bun/cheese only taste test but I don’t think I’m up for it right now- been trying to eat healthier

Good meat is good.

I eat mammalian meat sometimes, just not a lot of it. It’s tasty.
Birds and fish may be better sources of protein if ya wanna eat em.
