What is your favorite ski area close to ALB?

The best? I never thought that but I've never skied there. I always drove up to MRG if I wanted really good natural snow skiing out east.

Whiteface is 45 minutes past Gore, as is Killington That’s a lot for a half day. We don’t drive past Gore very often. plattekill 2 hours from Saratoga Springs.

Agreed. I never cared for whiteface. Prefer sugarbush or mad river any day.

It looks rad for going really fast but back then all I wanted was powder skiing so I skipped out on WF. I’d like to ski there one day and I’m much more into rallying groomers these days when it’s the thing to do.

Never been a bomber or cruiser. That is why I ski 5 -10 days a year. Give me powder or mashed potatoes. Love them both.

Not anywhere near the best if you are a beginner or intermediate, all things being equal.
