WF is right around 2 hours from Saratoga Springs.

I live just west of Saratoga (Saratoga school district) and it takes me an hour. The Orda pass works best for me because I do work in Lake Placid and my office is near Belle. Gore is my favorite for close. West and Willard are the closest but they don't have what I want. I taught for a year at Willard. Que my signature...

Living a bit west of Albany now (grew up in wynantskill) I favor Royal, Snow Ridge, and McCauley. Plattekill first but the tug hill is something. Also it's been a bit but I hope they didn't take the old T's at snow ridge. Dodging big chunks of metal added to the experience.

Yes, “everything being equal” does a lot of work here.

If Whiteface had as much snow as Jay Peak or Snow Ridge, the warmth & sun of Bromley, and the low wind levels of my backyard, it would definitely be in the “best in the east” conversation.

The problem is, it’s cold as shit, windy, and often icy. Gore over Whiteface 4eva.
