The Importance (and Fun!) of a Quiver

less soulful days.
nice, I like it lol!

I've ski's a lot of shitty - I mean less soulful - days over the years and I could probably count on one hand the number of times I've ever said "I should of stayed/went home and sat on the couch and watched tv..."

Considering how shitty the weather is and how empty the lot is, why are you parked so far from the lift? ?⛷❄?

'cuz that's "my" row....

its' a little deceiving, the lift in the distance serves the learning center, main lift is closer just out of the left of the frame

If the choice is between skiing and not skiing it opens up a lot of days. If the choice is between skiing good conditions, or skiing marginal conditions, most of us would probably come down on the predictable side.

If you can only ski one day a week, who wouldn't choose the best day.

yea i get it - We've all had days where planning that conditions/storms should be better Tuesday than Wednesday etc. or even in the afternoon vs morning. Sometimes you make the right call sometimes you don't!

If you can wait until the last minute to decide, odds improve.

This year my family needed me on weekends. I was pretty free to ski weekdays, it almost didn't matter which one. (A few times I had to be home to pick up at school at noon.) It certainly seemed easier this year to get a day off work on short notice.

This season I had a high percentage of good weekdays, but a low number of total days. I missed a month with covid and after that got about 3 ski days every two weeks. I ended up with 25, if I don't ski this weekend.

Maybe next season will be more normal. 35 days, some scratchy, with my skis that are designed make it fun. I probably will have fun.
