There is a small local herd of Norwegian Reindeer that browse on sugar maple saplings in the area, hence the openness of some of the terrain. This is not public yet, as we still don't have a permit in hand but here you go:

Getting fresh moose milk is always a challenge too. Old trick is they love chocolate. You can pretty much fill a nalgene in a minute or so.

No just add Canadian whisky and maple syrup, all natural, it's the Canadian whey.

I uncharacteristically took only a few pics that turned out on Saturday, must of been the rather cool temperature.. so here ya go, taken on the skin track up to the top of Minefield, looking down on the West Ridge that starts at the top of Lebowski .. I think that’s SBR at the extreme right down below. He was dutifully inspecting the skin tracks at the end of the group ..

This weekend, four of our crew drove seven hours north to ski the legendary glades and northern pow at Bellevue Valley Lodge. From this picture (not mine but this guy's) it looks like the long haul was worth it:

Exactly. When people say to me, "oh, you live in northern Ontario," I point out that there is a lot more of Ontario north of where we are. In fact, most of it, at least geographically.
