Hoping...the insurance coverage does what it says, cover the damage!

Hate to see this. My two days at Snow Ridge in the last few seasons were great and I really have come to like the place a lot.

I'd imagine damage to lifts is a lot harder to recover from than damage to buildings.

This, very unfortunate, event is an example of the unlevel playing field here in NYS. If this had happened to one of NYS ski areas, money to repair would be a non-issue.

That's a pretty big tornado for this region. EF0 and 1 fairly common. But an EF2-3 that tracks 16 miles?

They said the last time NYS had an EF-3 was 9 years ago.

It also looks like, over those 16 miles, it was at it's most brutal over Snow Ridge.

The last damage in the path was at the West Wind Motel, and that is pretty close to the hill. So it vanished soon after trashing the place.
