Ski Industry "Debundling"

If the problem at Cannon or WV was that bad (I have no idea), then they did the right thing by charging for it. If I recall correctly, there is some tension between WV and Skiology, that may be a motivator for raising it. Sorry for confusing the issue with passes, but I do think the "trend" is related to cheaper lift tickets even if those examples (C/WV) aren't examples of it.

This is it.
Everything is so expensive. I can't blame a business looking to make money, without it they won't be around.
Except that none of the resorts with mandatory paid parking or bag storage were particularly struggling, and it's unpleasant for everyone involved to nickel and dime customers like that.

But that is also it, they weren't struggling, in fact the three you named are beyond capacity on your average peak Saturday. They can afford to dissuade people from visiting their mountains, in fact turning people away is probably the best thing they can do to improve their guest experience.

Oh, and, especially when the FIS puts a gun at your head and forces you to spend a million bucks plus to host a world cup race. Hello, 16 dollar IPAs! I mean, we gotta make a living, right?

It's optional to buy a beer at any ski resort. The purpose of this thread is to expose the resorts who are charging non-optional fees for parking or bag storage, and hopefully prevent these practices from spreading like a virus.

Maybe optional to you.

I guess it's all, let them drink Coors Light in the parking lot.
