I lucked out. Happens to be a January when I planned to stay at Massanutten with friends using my timeshare. Last weekend was a bonus weekend that I squeezed in because of the snowstorm predicted for Thu. Had thought to stay in a Massanutten hotel room Fri and Sat nights. When other friends decided to do an Indy ski safari I booked a timeshare condo with a 3-night minimum so Sun night was included. The snowstorm ended up starting midnight Sat and lasted until noon on Sun. So skiing into the lights on Sun and driving home Mon was perfect timing. We did some groomed runs on Mon morning before driving home on dry roads with temps in the 40s. The snow conditions were some of the best I've ever had at Massanutten in 15 years.
