ICE v Electric: Cost and Emissions

Odd... I'm up in Lake Placid this morning, and every up here says Verizon is the go-to cell provider.
Well I should have said SoAdk or Gore Mountain region.

The cabin is a little bit different than deer camp. A phone there seems important — like I am out skiing with the only car while wife is back in the cabin. Plus I can go more often if I can do some work when there. When we build our house I hope to do some WFH to stay in touch with the project.

Back to cars, the CRV hybrid is kind of a disappointment. It drives well enough, with a smooth honda engine, but the assembly looks to have been pretty careless. We bought it without much thinking, I just assumed it would be like every other Honda I've ever had.

No worries, we know you're a SoAdk person. Just interesting as it pierces ATT's Hertz veil: "We're # 2 but we try harder."

I also wasn't knocking. We had no phone at the cabin by choice from 2001 - 2006. When my wife was pregnant and I was off skiing all day, it seemed like the only way.

Yes, they certainly have their place. If it wasn't for them I wouldn't have the freedom that I now enjoy at work.

Is that from "learning" how to drive the hybrid or maybe some break in?

Both are in play with our CRV. I feel like the first 1000 miles were lower mpg. We were getting 35 and now about 45 around town. Still don't have a good highway number.
