My, admittedly emotional, two cents:

It surprises me that skiers see this guy Dom with a love for something, pursuing it with passion, and don't understand. Most of us (the lucky ones IMO) have something like that. For me skiing/writing is it.

I bought property near Gore, I pay taxes, pay to have it plowed, pay for maintenance, I run this blog at a loss. My pursuit of skiing is not in any way a "smart" business decision. But people seem to get it or at least accept it.

Look at fucking Dom, read his shit, he is so into it. I don't think on his deathbed he's going to be thinking, I wish I didn't buy that rivian and sleep in it at the ski club, before that big storm.

Bought my first M-F pass at Gore after lurking and reading stuff here. Got to “know” Gore's “new” layout a bit too. Still learning.
Daylight savings time comes this weekend so daylight trips up and back will be in play again.
Heard they got a fukton of snow even without pushing out the Mount Gondolas.

Dom's positive experience so far is everything I was expecting. The click bait I get was reading shitting on the mileage was making me hesitant.
His numbers are pretty impressive and I think I'm going to save a decent amount on fuel.
We are always going to need gassers, drive what you want.
