Here is the video out of spec did on Snow mode one month ago. Earlier some months ago I posted the video where he rightfully beat up on the tuning in snow. This attempts to address that.

Early adopter issue 1! My front trunk open and closes with a button or on my app. When I closed it would say object detected. I called support we reset the software and that did not work. They will schedule me for service. Closing by hand worked. First world problem.
Second issue not a rivian issue. Aggressive longnisland drivers kept cutting me off when I was using driver assist as I set it for the firtherst distance. They saw the gap and kept cutting me off. I was fine with that.
Third, I could nt fought out how to lock the door. My son followed the pictogram on the key card and followed the instructions and it worked. When you want to lock it using the keyboard you tap it to the handle before walking away.

Day 1.5 of beta testing went well. When the car is flat cold there is low efficiency until it warms.

From a pretty low charge I should get to 100 percent about the time I head out tomorrow.

Also in conserve mode in 23 degrees I was getting equivalent of 301 miles of range for a 35 min drive from my brothers house to my home. 2.41 mi / kw times 125 kw =301 miles. In the winter.

Please explain the last part DB, thanks.
If you projected the 15 minute period recorded, at 2.41 miles per a kw of battery electrical energy in the graph picture, where the battery pack has at least 125 kw of usable energy, then you equal 301.25 miles of range. There have been different numbers stated, but the minimum usable amount of the R1s' battery is 125 kilowatts. This occurred at an outside temperature of 23 degrees farhenheit.

This is really positive (to me) but it is not apples to apples as the screenshot is a rolling record of 15 minutes (that is all they provide other than trip records, which I have not yet figured out how to reset. Will try before heading to Belleayre if I remember and can figure it out quickly. I can also tell you, my range was taking a massive hit on the 4 minute drive to drop my son off at 9 am this morning.

It appears (and ppl telling me today who have had Rivian's longer than me) that the biggest hit on the rivian is the beginning of use when the battery has to warm itself to the point where it can take regen energy back and provide output to the motors.

Even with the range hit this morning, there were no performance issues.

Glitch of the day - closing the hatchback, it looked closed but sensored as open. In that situation, neither adaptive cruise control nor driver plus (there 'self driving') was available. Got to next desinitation and opened and manually closed and it was fine.

Also weirdness of the day - someone followed next to me and alternating behind me on the highway for like ten minutes taking an interest in the car. I get it. Maybe 10 minutes is a bit much to do . . . .

For bopping around town (short trips) in the winter does it make sense to keep it in a warmer garage?
Mine isn’t heated but being dug into the side of a hill it’s always somewhat warmer than the outside air.

Strange that they don't provide for some type of preheating/ warming option for users in northern climates.

Doesn’t the battery get warmer from charging it?
If so can ya put it on a timer so it’s warmed up/topped off for the usually scheduled bop?
