The bar is open at Belle
And they are open. And my frequent skier card worked !The bar is open at Belle
The second half of the season before I had my hip replaced I would pop a few ibuprofen and a couple nips of a flask maple bourbon on the way up on first chair to take the edge off. Certainly got a few looks ...Perhaps this thread his morphed a bit...but along the same tangent:
One beautiful, late spring day at Killington, I arrive early and get a great spot at the Superstar lift. I was starting the day solo, so I booted up, finished my tea and breakfast and then got on the queue. I loaded what was about the 15th chair with 2 other guys riding single. Not long after the chair engaged to high speed, the guy to my left pops open a can of beer and the guy to my right lights up a bowl. Now, I'm all for a good time...and have enjoyed a nip (or 2) of brandy on a ski day, but 1st chair is way too early for me!
Sounds like every other chair in Big Skythe guy to my left pops open a can of beer and the guy to my right lights up a bowl.
A day like Cinco de Mayo at WF a couple years ago, those are the rare kind of ski days that start with shots for me....otherwise it waits until the Cloudspin opens. Sundays, therefore, always have a few disappointing moments. The second half of the season before I had my hip replaced I would pop a few ibuprofen and a couple nips of a flask maple bourbon on the way up on first chair to take the edge off. Well, to get back on track, Hunter says they'll be spinning on Friday. I'll be home, drinking alone. Friday is the new Saturday in these plague times. And there was pow around?!
This thread is the kind of train wreck, you really want to check out, while driving by slowly....
