Hunter didn't open today.

For starters, does anyone remotely athletic have a 45 to 50 inch waist? Heck, I doubt even Becton has that. Secondly, how many people ever experience a growth of 5 inches in their waist size, from beer no less? Add to that RA previously was talking age 45.....well, as was once said in a business meeting I was involved with (fortunately not said to me), you guys need to get your head out of your ass and start thinking straight! :p:cool:

Shaq = 47

Ha ha. Exactly. I guess if I had thought about it a little longer I could have figured out that he meant age not waistline but in the moment I was thinking he must be NBA or NFL big if he’s half as athletic as his TRs indicate. 6’ 4” and 185 with a 33” waist is a lot closer to how I pictured JTG for sure.

Nope, switched to red wine. French people are fairly thin. That and follow my ex father in law's rule of no "cocktails" before 5pm. It works. But, still, damn you lord!
my hard rule is no drinks before noon. waiting for 5:00 would be a struggle. Europeans move more then we do, wine is full of sugar, you are better off drinking bourbon.

You can't drink all day unless you start in the morning
What's that oft used Sinatra quote? Oh, yeah.
“I feel sorry for people that don't drink because when they wake up in the morning, that is the best they’re going to feel all day.”

You would be a lightweight at Hunter.
its not a hard and fast rule. more of a guideline. i have had a beer in the hunter bar before. place was packed. i skied off the north side before the lift was open. had to walk back to hunter. was ready to go home so the beer was needed to get my mind right. turned out to be a great day

Perhaps this thread his morphed a bit...but along the same tangent:

One beautiful, late spring day at Killington, I arrive early and get a great spot at the Superstar lift. I was starting the day solo, so I booted up, finished my tea and breakfast and then got on the queue. I loaded what was about the 15th chair with 2 other guys riding single. Not long after the chair engaged to high speed, the guy to my left pops open a can of beer and the guy to my right lights up a bowl. Now, I'm all for a good time...and have enjoyed a nip (or 2) of brandy on a ski day, but 1st chair is way too early for me!
