Have you ever had your gear stolen?

This is similar or the same to what's used when necessary.
Now if I can just remember what number I set it at to open...
If you figure it out add it to a memo file on your phone with other things you need to remember. That helps my memory immensely.

When we were in High School my friend had her skis stolen at Hunter. They were a Christmas present and she only skied on them that one day. Ever since then I put my skis right at the window of the lodge or split them up including the poles. I skied rusty junk for years so never cared too much. I saved up for Stocklis with Shifts. Now I’m paranoid about it and watch them like a hawk. I’ve never taken Martial Arts but I’ve watched a few Kung-Fu movies...

Benny seems to know a lot about this, maybe you could teach a class? :devilish:

The lock would stop the person who didn't PLAN to come to the mountain to steal skis. Maybe just inspired at the moment.

Also could slow down the drunks who take your skis by accident.
I lived in and around NYC too long to not know how fast your shit can vanish. And then there's the lowlife element that just wants to mess with you because, well, that's their nature. But now there's as much poverty and drugs around ski hills in the east, and easy marks are low hanging fruit.
I never leave my stuff unattended close to a parking lot. Zoom, they're gone.

My friends experience in SLC is more disturbing. They really thought that out. I don't like that city much at all.

Ha, yeah, I have Shifts on Volkl M102s. There's a prize for the fleet of foot. I really want cool poles, for once, but, they won't last long.

I had a pair of adjustable poles stolen at sugarloaf last year. I was sitting 30 feet away my face buried in my phone. I thought for sure I would see them on the hill. They were the ones on my avatar picture.

NYC..turn around and my handtruck is gone..took 1 second.
My biggest anxiety is waiting for my skis at the airport..

Never had skis stolen, but that's prolly because most of my quiver is older than dirt. (I'm finally beginning to upgrade.) But if I prep skis on site, I always bring the wax box back to the car before I head out. People swiping fluoro powder or fluorinated wax was a thing for a while.

I have every form of ski bag. The single and double tube..which usually comes out the chute open and skis falling out because they can't figure out how to put the clasp back on.
Used the soft bag last time..that one they can figure out.
