Elvis's death - my mom was a mess - i was pretty young, but that's the first livid memory of something "big" happening news wise.
Blizzard of 78. I was 4. I don't remember the actual snow totals, but the memory of being at the end of our driveway with piles of snow that were at least twice my height will be with me forever.
Castellano ? In front of Sparks?Definitely when Big Paulie was taken out.
Correct.Castellano ? In front of Sparks?
i can't remember if it was before or after elvis death but thurman munson death also scrolled along the bottom of the tv screen around the same time. loved him. he would spit into his helmet and then put it back on his head.Elvis's death - my mom was a mess - i was pretty young, but that's the first livid memory of something "big" happening news wise.
I remember Munson dying and being bummed out about it but I don’t have a clear memory of when I heard the news the same way I do other things like the 1980 hockey game or the Challenger disaster. I remember very clearly sitting in study hall and one of the other teachers came in and said the challenger blew up and everyone on board was dead. At first I honestly didn’t believe him. I can clearly remember thinking he was joking.i can't remember if it was before or after elvis death but thurman munson death also scrolled along the bottom of the tv screen around the same time. loved him. he would spit into his helmet and then put it back on his head.
