Driving in NY

Subaru outback with snowtires..i passed everyone today..slowly but still passed them...can't take non stop brake lights in my face..and for no reason..we're doing 25.
Agreed, a Subie with snow tires is the bomb. But I replaced the catalytic converters on every one that I owned.

How long do they last for ya Pete? We’ve got two.
The first two, I bought from new.... replaced cats around 160,000 miles. Third one I bought used... 2005 with 64k miles. You know, the little old lady that only drove to church on Sundays. I think that car sat a lot; check engine went on around 100k.

FWIW, my mechanic thinks that the flat four motor deposits small amounts of oil into the emissions system somehow, compromising the cats.

Happy with my diesel Jetta running Nokian snow tires, although I'm definitely more circumspect when driving in bad weather.

Driving 690 thru Syracuse for 35 winters to work taught me a valuable lesson. Go in late and stay late during snowstorms. Getting to & from work was the toughest and most unsafe part of the job.

And thats why a lot of the bosses ...don't...and rely on us to do it for them. Now I'm a boss..and still doing it. While those above me stay at home and watch it onTV.

Subie burns oil and coolant..head gaskets..known problem
My 2014 subie wouldn’t start this morning
I took my 2011 subie To work on the Jersey turnpike the tire pressure light came on
I am over subies
Toyota next car

Let it out bro. You’re safe here
Returning from Pineridge XC last week. Guy going 60 in the left f'n lane. And they're clueless that they're causing a traffic jam.

I have a theory: Even if you're going 80 mph and you never keep right, you're part of the problem.
