I'm an addict. So, if the alternatives are not skiing or skiing and dealing with Covid restrictions, it's a non-starter there is only option. So, stop bitching and deal with it. Also, most likely these restrictions are going to be fluid throughout the season. Difficult for planning, but it is what it is this season.

Hopefully, the season will start a bit earlier than expected, (insert political humor here).

No I don't. I gas up right before I get on 287. It's my last spot for convenient gas. If I gas up there, I can get to Plattekill and then back to Kingston (exit 19) on the return. I gas up at a place near Potter Brothers. That gets me all the way home and gives me enough for the week on my return. I also stop for coffee at the "Plattekill" rest area on the highway.

Regardless, I'm not comfortable driving in my underpants and you're not comfortable driving in your ski pants. To each his own.

I have never driven to Mountain in ski pants. Folding chair and the mat out of the car ,no wet feet. There are will however be some days where a warm up inside is needed.

I don't understand how a western resort charges three figures for a few hours of enjoyment and doesn't provide you a place to put your ass for 15 minutes. You can get a seat at a bust stop BEFORE you pay the $3.
