Sno has home slopes/lifts advantage and younger legs,
but with a name like Ripitz and the challenger with experience in the discipline it’s hard to bet against him.
As far as the rules does line waiting count in the total time?

Yes, but it was back in the day before it was crowded and in the spring when almost everything was ski on. I remember being exhausted and collapsing on each lift. Some lifts we definitely came in hot and there was lots of yelling and screaming to warn people to get out of our way. I think we waited for the tram for a few cabins before we got noticed and waved on. The fucking cheaters at LMS tripped the top gate at the Poma. When we got there it was stopped and the lone operator at the base had gone to the dorms to call someone because he didn’t have a phone. Three of us started hiking up while the other guy was trying to flip switches. The kid came back and there was more yelling and he got the lift going. I’m sure they cheated on other lifts. They couldn’t believe our time, the next teams were not even close. Now we have Strava. Sno’s not getting off easy. It is a cool combo though, you have to know the lifts, runs, crowds and be able to rip. At least I know one of those.

How long were y'all stuck and how much did ya miss from their time?
If I was on the rools committee ya may have been a contender for the gold.
Intentionally shutting down a lift is a serious offense.
Could result in a permanent ban from future all-lift competitions and maybe even riding up.

We missed them by less than a minute and we were stuck for at least five. The next team was something like twenty minutes later. It wasn’t even close. We skied clean and the three guys I did it with were amazing. It was an honor to ski with them. That’s all that matters to me. Between us we know who won.

Here are some pics from the 1997 All Lifts Race. We had a “ Lemans style “ start at the base area. Had to run up the hill and click in. The year before, I walked around and stepped on everyone’s heel bindings. People were fuckin with my bindings all morning. Somebody took my heel binding and mounted it backwards. Unknown to them was my team had some friends stash our race skis up at the top of the lift. We ran up straight to the chair and never looked back.
It’s a lift race, not a ski race. Only rules are that you have to ride all the lifts together as a team and don’t piss off lift mechanics. One year we downloaded the tram. It was the winning move.
It’s a terrifying race. In real racing, you don’t have to worry about people on the course or unknown obstacles or LMS cheating. BTW, LMS got sold to Christie’s
