Those fan guns have lights on them so that it is easy to see how the crystals are forming.

At first I thought it might be on fire, but that would be too Cuyahoga-River-fire-type of ironic to be true. The Zapruter-like graininess of the picture adds to the mystery.

Not sure they got 5-8 .....i am literally 2 miles away and I got a light coat of snow last night and today's rain washed it away

Lapland Lake, north of Gore, received 3", they're unable to open. Not a great forecast in Saranac Lake.
