Does that mean I could still learn to snowboard and then be shredder?
If so I might take the cash. Some of them seem to really enjoy boarding, but it’s hard to teach old dogs new tricks.

The pole should be a mill to stop sliding down snow covered hills.

OK I'll fess up . I wouldn't quit for $1M even if it meant I could only Snowboard. Been a lifelong addict. First passion was downhill skiing, but then took up Tele skiing and did that exclusively for 10 plus years, then on & off for another 10. Really can imagine giving up XC skiing, love the workout and just getting out in the woods. Backcountry is now my main focus and will be for the foreseeable future. Haven't snowboarded for a few years now but may have to dig the board out and get some BC turns on that as well.

The snowboarding loophole is cool. I've been getting back into it a few times a season since I've had a few knee issues. Sure glad I learned when I was 40, because there's no way I would put up with that pain at my advanced age. You people who think it's no whoop to just switch? Haha. Maybe if you're 22. Even then.

I'd take the money, considering my age. It would hurt, but, I'd get over it with constant travel to Europe and warm weather fun. Probably maim myself learning to kite board.

Yep

Golf ,biking, tennis are all easy substitutes

It’s easy to say “hell no!” when it’s hypothetical. I suspect that if an actual cool mil was put on the table before some of you...you would be shown to be full of s#%t! :p

Still kind of a no-brainer for me. Pretty easy choice to trade 15 days a year of selfish joy for myself for 365 of increased joy for others (and myself). Granted, if I got in 50-100 days, and my life and career revolved around skiing, the choice would be different.

The mil should be prorated for the old guys. Warp getting a mil would be like junior getting 20
Explain please? I don't get what you are saying. How does the age factor in?

Old guys have a lifetime of skiing in the memory banks and less future needs to budget for.
