I would give up skiing for a million. I love skiing but I love other things to. It certainly would allow me to retire a few years sooner.
BOOM! there it is , never ever be a one trick pony ,life is a banquet !!!

never ever be a one trick pony

I'm definitely a one trick pony. This was my theme song in college, and I must say it still applies.

Voted for the cash. Skied in h.s. still have my old skis. Skied last year first time in 30 years, people were looking funny at my skis. Rented a place near Belleayre. Used to be pretty good, still ok, but my son was better than me, first run of his life. I ran into Harv at the restaurant gas place on the thruway, he was yammerin about that other mountain, something about vibe and steep

Changed my vote. @Harvey

There might be an amount of money that would make me think about quitting. Somewhere between $1 million and $100 million. I don't need the money. But there are non-profits and private schools that could do a lot of good with that kind of money. Have to be a large number though. Unlike some of the over 60 folks here, I only became an advanced skier getting in more than 20 days a season in the last decade. I'm skiing terrain at big mountains that I never dreamed would be any fun at all because it looked too extreme. Now that I have found a good group of ski buddies willing to travel who are both retired and advanced/experts, that's making all sorts of ski adventures possible.
