I wouldn't stop for any amount. On my death bed, I'll see a lifetime of skiing, not a bank account.
But it wouldn’t be about the bank account.....it would be more about how that $1m might change life, for yourself and others.

For instance, if it meant your spouse didn’t have to work? Say you want to have kids...and it meant you or your significant other could be a stay at home parent? Or...or....or....

The selfish part in me would be like f’...no, then you think how taking the money could change life for not just yourself but others.

It’s not as easy to dismiss from that perspective.

This was part of my thought process. And, still for me, the Answer is a resounding NO!

I really like skiing. It has had a huge positive impact on my life, fitness, friendships, jobs, etc... But the $1m would be way too huge to provide long-term security with home ownership, being able to support kids, offer help to family and friends... Biking tho would require many mill for me to walk away...

That amount of money wouldn't be life-changing enough to quit a sport I love. Now $100,000,000.....

No, I don’t think so but probably not why you might think so.

Right now skiing is me and my daughters thing. I need a few more years to take her on adventures.

if I were not a Dad, I could do it no problem. I love skiing, it’s given me so much but I’ve spent a huge chunk of my life doing it. This is where that weird guy with the lemon yellow helmet and no poles would call me out for not being hard core or whatever his hang up was. I often feel that I’ve missed out and continue to miss out on new and different experiences because I can’t let go of this thing that for as long as I can remember has “defined” me. It’s part of my identity, that’s not easy to walk away from but a million bucks could make it a lot easier.

I’d love to spend a year or more just backpacking. Maybe go spend time in Florida bass fishing and passing out drunk on the beach. Buy a van and boondock around for the rest of my time staying at the perfect temps for comfort and no snow.

Oh....and, I could live on a million bucks for the next twenty years or so no problem! In theory of course.

I could probably also spend all of it really quickly if the right female was involved and some party drugs.

Like RA I've skied a lot in my life. I don't need to do it anymore, heck it doesn't even snow enough around here to open up what I want to ski. I don't like to travel to ski so yeah give me the cash. I have plenty of other hobbies to keep me more than busy.
