Wish List Ski Areas

Really? Aged out?
In fairness, he did say that about Silverton and Taos. If by “that” he is referring to true no fall zones, places where if you fall you die (Silverton seems to be full of those and Taos has its share as well) I understand the feeling of possibly aging out of that. Double blacks are one thing, and I’ll chase those as long as my body allows. However, over the past several years I’ve been in a number of situations where a slip or a mistake guarantees the end of life as you knew it. Not only could it be considered foolish to even put oneself in such places (but we do, for various reasons), some of that stuff may be a younger man’s game. Maybe. Anyway, nothing wrong with re-evaluating such stuff as age steals a half a step.

Not a resort, but I’d love to check out the Chic Chocs. Probably never will though. Bohemia falls in that category, too. Silverton and Taos would be really cool, but the logistics on those aren’t great for a long weekend. Same for JH. I need to get to new areas in the PNW...Steven’s/Mission/Alpine Lakes Wilderness. I’d be thrilled to get back to Baker and Whistler/Blackcomb. Never been to Lake Louise/Sunshine Village. A trip back to do Zermatt properly is something we’d love to do as a family.

Makes perfect sense. Don't really know how old some of you oldsters are.

What's a bit different for me compared to many of the over 60 folks here is that if someone had asked me about skiing a Taos single black ten years ago, I would've said "no way!" There was a lot of terrain I wasn't willing to ski at Alta back then. For instance anything in Supreme Bowl. So all my days skiing steep terrain out west has happened after age 55 and I'm still improving.

Any thing in Germany.
My dad never got to due that before his MS had him stop skiing
I wish for everyone health and always believed in due what can when young because don't know when that stop us
I may not get to any more as much as u all
Keep on ski forum is always great people

In Canada: Silver Star, Sovereign Lake, Canmore.Would love to ski Sjusoen, Holmenkollen, and Lillehammerr in Norway. For starters.

Then there's race venues. Marcialonga, Konigludwiglauf?

I enjoy staying close to home in the woods, nearby hills, or trying anything new in the east, but one day a Quebec tour would be cool.

I really want to get to silverton before it expands. I'm not into no fall zones anymore. Still like to get the blood pumping Wolfe Creek is another one. Thought I was going last year.. possiblity this year.
Japan. Who doesn't want to ski in the place that gets the most snow on earth.
Probably another 6 or seven around North America. No desire whatsoever to head to Europe or south america.

I've skied in chile, it was okay.

At this point I'm more interested in the experience then just the mountain itself or the conditions. Bucketlist in no meaningful order:

1) Anywhere in Europe (those interconnected villages do sound cool)

2) Jay Peak (Too far to drive, too close to fly)

3) Sugarloaf (See #2)

4) Mount Bohemia

5) Chic Chocs or anywhere really far north on the East Coast

6) In 25 years from now if I'm still kicking and skiing, any yet to be built resort in Greenland when there's no more skiing that's drivable from New Jersey

I didn’t experience much no fall zone skiing on my days at Silverton or at least I didn’t notice since the snow was so good.
