The youngsters were hitting the whales on the bottom of Bali at Song today. They blew a lot of snow during the last cold snaps.

A patroller told me he had 20” at his home on the south shore of Oneida. Another dude told me he had 14” in Canastota. Nada new at the bump due to the band being too narrow and running north.

Snow was great today & not too hard, not too soft.

Although I bet they’d save a TON of money on operations if they just cut out a month & a half.

And they probably made most of the lift ticket money they were gonna make off of season pass holders anyway (sure, they’d be upset if WF, Gore & Belle closed for the season now, but ORDA can just blame Mother Nature).

Total shit season. Yeah, I’ll ski more, but I think it’s time to plan a western trip. NE is washed.

How rapidly things have changed this winter. From the Mt Baker snow report:

The snowfall numbers from this storm are astounding ... we've received:

92" of snowfall in the past 7 days
70" of snowfall in the past 4 days
53" of snowfall in the past 3 days
Our snow base went from 53" at Heather Meadows to 118" in the past week.
