Winter Weather 23/24

NNJ 3:23p 47F partly sunny - got down to 27F last night.
Day after day we are in the mid-40s just like last Jan.

Anyone get the alerts from jay peak? They have been getting a couple inches for 15 days. I looked at the open terrain. You wouldn't know by looking at the trail count. The jay cloud has been active. Public service announcement.

😩 We wuz robbed, it's mixed rain and snow now. Maybe 2 inches.

Hate to say it , you weren't robbed..forecast was spot on..snow was to be mainly confined to the upper elevations...So you really hooked up...if 2" of cement is your thing..

This is definitely an elevation event, I bet the higher peaks make out ok. Should cool off nicely for the rest of the month, I'm putting my cold wax on my sticks today in anticipation.
I've found that Start green works well above it's temperature range because of the abrasiveness of machine made snow.

NOAA forecast that I saw didn't say anything about snow confined to higher elevations. Obviously I'm not OCD enough about weather forecasting.

Snow held on pretty good up on the mountain
