Animal agriculture (worldwide) is estimated at 15% of greenhouse gas emissions (but that study seems to have some conflict of interest): https://www.vox.com/future-perfect/22905381/meat-dairy-eggs-climate-change-emissions-rewildingDon't forget the farting cows!!
I agree with you (and the science) that the human impacts on climate are driving the warming and responsible for the exponential increase in carbon in the atmosphere post industrial revolution. Where I disagree with you is that the pathway to "stop climate change right now" as you put it in your previous post is through consumption, particularly as you suggested the transition to electric personal automobiles. You are falling for the greatest bait and switch of our generation if you think big tech, Elon or buying more shit is an ends to a means. The changes that would need to be made to meaningfully reduce the human impacts on climate are unrealistic at best, at least in terms of how they would be accepted by a 1st world capitalist society.Just as a note: yes, climate change is naturally occurring, but we are *supposed to* be going into a cooling cycle right now (based on milankovich cycles, ocean currents resulting from continental position, etc.). The reason that we are warming is because human activity is pumping shit tons of greenhouse gasses into the atmosphere. 27% of those gasses come from transportation (https://www.epa.gov/transportation-air-pollution-and-climate-change/carbon-pollution-transportation)

This is a wild way to read this point:. Where I disagree with you is that the pathway to "stop climate change right now" as you put it in your previous post is through consumption.
Thinking that the point was entirely about internal combustion engines and hyperfixating on the word “stop” is quite the jump. Why do you think you chose to read it that way?it is funny how many of the same people who were against civil rights in the 60s are now against doing anything to stop climate change right now.
No doubt^^That to me says "some mixing in the mountains but still a huge gain."
didn't expected to mix up to MRG....
I bet against warm air and lost...
yep@jasonwx - I'm hoping to use my Indy Pass to go on a last minute 1 week ski safari through northern VT and Maine. I know there is no crystal ball, but what's your gut towards doing it this upcoming week or rolling the dice and waiting for the week after?
Looks like this upcoming week is going to be fairly dry and brutally cold up there. Of course the way this winter is going I risk r*in the following week if I wait.
I see whatcha did there JW.yep
dry weather , seasonable temps until wed..Deep freeze starting Thursday- Saturday
