Winter Weather 22/23

Faaaaaack, radar looks pink and green at Belle?! Was hoping for a dawn patrol Thursday am ….
 
what a bust.. I knew it would rain in the cats..but didn't expected to mix up to MRG....
I bet against warm air and lost...
 
I think that the question many are asking is "is this year's bleak snow season with all the rain partially caused by global warming or simply an anomaly caused by the strange weather patterns beginning far out in the Pacific?" I can't answer that does anyone with some degree of expertise [not what you read on Twitter} have the answer?.

How is that going to influence your choice of resort this weekend?
 
it won't at all but I think it behooves skiers to understand, if it is simply an anomaly fine, if it is somewhat manmade then it is time for us to band together and get off our butts and do something rather than bemoaning the situation, we are not an inconsequential group, and things can be done. If I had my druthers I would love if it just was a bad year, but if it's something that needs attending to then do it. At the worst it's a losing battle, big deal.

The not so simple answer is it is both and that neither are happening in a vacuum and both influence one another. That and its climate change not global warming, those greater climatic shifts are impacting seasonal weather.

weather refers to short-term changes in the atmosphere, climate describes what the weather is like over a long period of time in a specific area
