Nah, it’s forcing you to bypass the Platty Telefest when you could have stopped on the way up to North River (because of driving conditions tomorrow)This storm is perfect for a flatlander roadwarrior with a job, in terms of the timing
By evening it’ll be wrapping up, so skiing Friday at Platty with a slow exit to head north probably would have worked. Two reasons I didn’t…1) Gore should get more snow and (hopefully) no sleet, and 2) it really does look like Platty took a beating with the recent rain/warm spell. I hope you get all snow, post totals for me, and have fun tomorrow!Nah, it’s forcing you to bypass the Platty Telefest when you could have stopped on the way up to North River (because of driving conditions tomorrow)
i have my ski outAnd yes….latest round of forecasts have the ADKs and Greens in the 8-12+ range (with higher amounts Southern, and a potential 12-18 bullseye on the Southern Greens). The further south of Albany you get the messier the sleet and freezing rain potential gets.
Hahaha we’ll be there in about two hours!Regardless of how much it does or does not snow overnight, I shouldn't have a problem getting to Platty in the morning. Tucked into the Colonial Motel in Grand Gorge after checking out Windham for the first time (using Ikon).
