Whiteface Conditions

I think he was saying that leaving because the lift wasn’t running was stupid- not that you should have predicted it.
It wasn't stupid. The trails that I most wanted to ski were going to be closed all day. So I decided to head elsewhere. Given that there was a power outage later, Gore was ultimately the better choice no matter what.

I understand Sno. You want things to be the way you want them and it bothers you enough that the extra driving was worth it to you. Most of us here would just roll with it and ski what WF had open. There’s room enough for both POVs

No, you're just a spoiled brat that does not like it when you don't get you're way. And I've seen you ski and you should get a lesson, just sayin' 🤷‍♂️ ⛷️ :ROFLMAO:

In many instances, my decisions for where to ski on a particular day come down to one trail, lift, or area. On Wednesday, that was Hoyt's and Lookout Below. So with that lift closed, the whole day was a bust. Things would have been extremely limited at Whiteface between the random closure of Lookout, and the fact that they had a race taking up two full trails. There was no reason to stick around. If it were a weekend, I would've given up too. I had considered just driving all the way back to work to get the vacation day back, but realized I didn't have time for that, and that there were a lot trails/glades at Gore that I didn't get to ski on previous trips due to lift problems, and that I could salvage the day that way. I'm still extremely bitter that I burned a vacation day only for Lookout to be closed.

I don't think expecting every scheduled lift to be open is spoiled, and I'm sick of the mentality that Lookout is somehow expendable and that it's wrong to expect it to be open on any given day. I also don't know how you recognize me on the mountain. I can ski every trail and glade in all of ORDA.

Yes you are a spoiled brat, period!
Just because you "can ski" a trail does not by any means equate you to be to a good skier, so just stop your privileged nonsense.
In the future, hopefully you will grow up and realize what an ass you had been...because you do know your shit about lifts and minutiae, but you have a lot learn about life;) :poop:

Sounds like we need an All Lifts Ski Off.
(Ala Mr Ripitz endeavors at The Big Sky).

Can we make it a 3 way with Mr. @Ripitz ?

If it’s only using a snowboard my money$ on Sno.

No crime for me, thanks. I’d rather snowblade in a tutu.
