Skiing was good at Song before the storm but the surface did make sounds unlike Wednesday’s hero snow.
Was a good day for faster big GS turns to dig into the chalkiness.
Only got a couple inches so far this evening.
Please letitsnow.

Bummer Harvey be thankful you’re ok, there will be other pow days, @saratogahalfday you may want to reserve your Indy Sunday , Saturday is “sold out”.

I reserved Sunday days ago. All of the powder hounds will go today, which if fine because I can't ski today anyways. Today will be a full house at Magic.

@Temp6 has agreed to help with a piece on Plattekill from tomorrow, and @ADKmike has offered to write on WF and/or The Slides if it happens. That will cheer me up.

Rip it people, and post some pics.

It anyone skis either area and gets a great shot, and you are so inclined, email it to me.

It's weird for me. Like when Plake was at Plattekill and I couldn't be there, Brownski wrote about it, some others chipped in a pic or two, and it's a classic. I never regret missing that day because we published it. I know, it makes no sense.

Classic platty pow day. Took a tree to the thigh pretty hard had to cut the day short but epic morning. Trees were IN for real. Couple snakes in the grass but pretty full send.

Made it to Big Sky today and will be skiing there until the end of the week. Spent the last two days skiing deep powder at Grand Targhee. GT was part of the World Telemark Day.

Photo of the powder in the trees is in the area used for teaching children's lessons. Good fun when there isn't much visibility on the upper mountain.

Sun came out in the afternoon during second day skiing Big Sky. Was the first day ever for a few friends so I showed them how to get over to the Moonlight Basin area after lunch.

MRG this weekend, they're 95% open and I haven't hit the single chair in a few years.

So, although my son baled on me last weekend, my 9 yo daughter is game for Sat at Belle. And she actually WANTS to sleep in the car, haha. We'll see how it goes. Wife and son have commitments. Only skiing Saturday. Say hi if you are around. We'll head up Friday night, max up charging in LaGrangeville or Rhinebeck, and go with the flow.
