It looks as though West has dropped the ropes on Meadows and Frolic today to give another route down the mountain. Hopefully this eases up crowding a bit… maybe we’ll get some more connecting trails this weekend.

Helping a friend tomorrow and Saturday in Schroon Lake and North Creek so no skiing those days. Tentatively planning to hit West on Sunday with my Indy Pass. Hope they get even more open by then. Never skied there before.

Skied West tonight with my daughter's school ski club. The only report I can give was that the Cure to Gnarwall left & right were very good. That's all we skied. Ten runs. I would anticipate more terrain opening soon.

They have done a really nice job with snowmaking considering the weather so far this season.

Layered up and spent most of the day out there while the boy did his thing. West Express triple was down until after 10:00 due to what looked like a gate issue at the base, but once it was good it was consistent with minimal stops. Best part of the weekend so far is the dropping of ropes yesterday on most of the middle mountain trails like Alley, Chute, Coy Dog, Turtle Back and Inchworm. Hopefully The NW base and Apex triple will open soon. The webcams have shown consistent snowmaking for the past week plus on at least Midway and probably Mach, so I’ve definitely got my fingers crossed!

Anyone know if West has opened anything on North side? Website says NW Passage is open which seems odd with nothing else…

Yeah, they opened the NW Base last weekend but Bannister is still the only way across right now, waiting on Mach (gotta be soon). Midway is up and running under the Apex chair, still waiting on AOA.
