West Mountain joined the Indy Pass for 2021-22. Doug Fish seemed very happy to add West based on his comments in a podcast with Stu.

“The progress continues at West Mountain!” said Sara Montgomery, General Manager of West Mountain. “Our Snow Sports school continues to grow, and this year we have expanded our learning center to accommodate more skiers and riders. We are excited to welcome newcomers who will be making their first winter sports memories at West. It’s going to be a fun-filled season!”

West Mountain offers beginner through advanced terrain and will be open for day and nighttime skiing, riding, and tubing. Additional snow tubing lanes added to the Tubing Park

Continuation of the Individual and After School Program

Continuation of Academy and Club Race Team Membership offerings for athletes ages 6-19.

Anybody been to West yet this year? Catamount closed for the weekend and I don’t want to burn my Indy days at Greek until the trees under chair 2 are ready.

Yes. West opened 12/24 and stuck with 7 trails, or basically two ways down the mountain with some variation mixed in. With the guns at full blast, I could see them opening multiple new trails by tomorrow or Wednesday, and can confirm either way when I go tomorrow night.

Hope it was decent. I seem to recall it was pretty bumpy in the turns on the upper half of the mountain that night when I was there with the kids.

Aggressive snowmaking in process at West, but no new trails have been opened so far. Saw the groomer working on the Meadows tonight, so hopefully that and Frolic open sooner rather than later. I’d be surprised if it didn’t happen before the weekend.

Nice write up from your trip up, Brownski!
