West Mountain Conditions

For some reason this year, I've been conscious of snow on the chairs. I've had days where the only reason I was cold was because my butt was cold and wet. I even bought that bib thing at Plattekill. It's very helpful, but a little awkward.

I really appreciate the lifties that stay after it. It feels kind of dangerous to try to clear the snow from underneath after you sit down.

Just curious what is the deal with Northwest? Was there last Thursday and it wasn't open although the ski report listed the trails as open

They close multiple trails for race training on a pretty regular basis, but in my experience it hasn’t affected the NW side until this year. I got skunked last week, too. Normally the move for me is to park over there and walk straight on the lift 30 feet away.

Conditions were fantastic yesterday, should be great again today.
Thanks!

Yeah, made it there. Once it warmed up, after 11, it got super nice. Before that it was tabletop hard. Everything held up really well because it never got mushy or sticky for me.

I didn't try any ungroomed. Not too many ppl did either. I definitely didn't dare.
