My wife is starting to suspect that might be coming down the pike for her. They officially give her just enough hours so she can't get unemployment and she saw her exact job advertised with three more hours a week, so she applied for it. She's going to resist that mightily, if it comes to pass.
It's funny (ok not really funny but) I keep telling her to quit if she doesn't like it, but she can't get away from the hours flexibility she gets. She always ends up working more than the specified hours but she has the flexibility to deal with all our kid stuff and also now with Covid she REALLY likes working from home more than she thought she would.
Not sure about NJ laws on unemployment but in NY u can qualify for less hours by 4 / 4 by
Of earing in full being devided into 4 quarters based on hours cut from cut back from normal before reduce hours took place
