The Storm Skiing Journal comes down hard on ORDA

The answer is very few.
Cannon - NH
Sunapee and Prospect, NH are leased operations
Laurel Mtn - PA
Canaan Valley - WVA
There might be one in Michigan. Laurel and Canaan are run as leased operations.
Winter Park is owned by the City of Denver, Diamond Peak in Incline Village is some kind of county ownership, Bogus Basin owned by City of Boise, Bridger Bowl is a community owned non-profit as is Turner Mtn. I am sure there are many others in this category, but not so many in the state category.
Do any of those mountains lose tens of millions, and then spend tens of millions on those same mountains?

NYS resident all my life. Pay my NYS taxes every year.

As long as NYS spends my money on skiing I really don't care about the balance sheet. Taxes are not an investment in my mind. And skiing is the only thing NYS spends money on that I can really get behind, whatever.

We're lucky here in NYS, imo
The state spends all kinds of money on parks, pools, golf courses, hiking trails, skiing trails, snowmobiling trails, etc etc
