The Storm Skiing Journal comes down hard on ORDA

Stu never mentioned this. It’s NYS cash too.
In Warren County, the Lake Champlain/Lake George Regional Planning Board received $1.6 million for the town of Johnsburg to construct a new wastewater collection and treatment system in the downtown business district of North Creek. The lack of a public sewer system has inhibited business expansion and infill development for decades. This project will reinvigorate and remove barriers to downtown business activity, provide greater opportunity for industry diversification, and improve employment opportunities for low-income households.

Hope the new shitter pairs nicely with those fancy Front Street Partner’s ski in places on the approved runs.

How bout we all chip in, get some no interest NYS loans, buy one of those nice big fancy ones, and call it a church (no taxes).
It’ll have soul.

Stu’s first sentence is:

New York, like many states, owns ski areas.

How many does it take to make it be many?

Anybody know of any other state in the USA owning lift served ski areas.?
The answer is very few.
Cannon - NH
Sunapee and Prospect, NH are leased operations
Laurel Mtn - PA
Canaan Valley - WVA
There might be one in Michigan. Laurel and Canaan are run as leased operations.
Winter Park is owned by the City of Denver, Diamond Peak in Incline Village is some kind of county ownership, Bogus Basin owned by City of Boise, Bridger Bowl is a community owned non-profit as is Turner Mtn. I am sure there are many others in this category, but not so many in the state category.

Front Street was supposed to provide its own treatment plant.
