Stratton Conditions

The conditions were decent with 6 inches of new snow. We got fresh tracks for the first few runs. The winds were insane and that pushed the snow around on trails. There were many wind blown spots. The gondola and the Snow Bowl HSQ and the Shooting Star HS6 did not run and that made for longer lines lines than normal on the Amex HS6 and the URSA HS6. We did not venture into the Sun Bowl but the HS6 was running. It seemed like there were areas of the woods that were in play.

I can hear the wind still blowing this morning at 6:50am. It is snowing on the mountain cams right now and they are blowing snow. I would say Stratton will be a good choice this weekend.

Thanks for the report. My only concerns are crowds and wind holds. It's supposed to die down a little today and tomorrow but not much. I could care less about the gondi but the other upper mountain lifts. Probably going to pull the trigger and give it a go.

Thanks for the update. Debating on if the extra 35 minutes to killington is worth it for tomorrow.
