I hope that low off the coast veers to the east a little more, it looks slow and could drop some serious rain in New England.

Bluebird day to take down a big maple.
Hate to kill a tree but it had to go.

There’s a few more maples just as big but not as near to the house and healthy.
The sap was dripping fast from it.
Have yet to count rings but the pros estimated it at 180-200 years old.
It was amazing display of excellent rope-gravity technique tree surgery.
I was just a grunt for them.

Call me crazy, but I think winter turns much colder and snowier starting next week. I'm king of glad I'm blacked out from skiing this weekend though, Saturday looks miserable and then it looks like boilerplate with strong wind on Sunday. National Weather Service Burlington VT 637 AM EST...
